After my "adopted" dad we...Neat analogy! After my "adopted" dad went on to Heaven, I was given his notebook of sermons that he had preached over the years. In one, he talked about how, as children, we are often afraid of the dark. So we get mother to go into the room to show us that there is nothing to be afraid of. And he said the same is true of death, that Jesus entered the "room" first to show us there is nothing to be afraid of.
